The San Francisco 49ers have suffered a pair of injuries impacting their offense and special teams. Linebacker Shayne Skov suffered a knee injury on a return, while wide receiver Quinton Patton suffered a concussion trying to make a tackle after an interception. Rod Streater replaced Patton in the lineup.
Skov is one of the 49ers core special teamers, but also serves as a reserve for an inside linebacker unit that is lacking in depth following injuries to NaVorro Bowman and Ray-Ray Armstrong.
Patton has been the 49ers leading receiver since Colin Kaepernick entered the lineup. Jeremy Kerley was the leading receiver with Blaine Gabbert, but that has changed.
