The San Francisco 49ers already have three bona fide pass-rushers on their roster: linebackers Aldon Smith, Aaron Lynch and Ahmad Brooks. This trio combined for 14 sacks in 2014 and will look to add to that number heading into the new season.
Yet the 49ers defense got richer via the 2015 NFL draft.
Enter linebacker Eli Harold.
The former Virginia pass-rusher netted 17.5 sacks and 36.5 tackles for a loss over three collegiate seasons. But Harold slipped into Round 3, which gave general manager Trent Baalke an opportunity to swipe him up with the 79th overall pick.
