SEATTLE - The 49ers are accustomed to leaving Seattle humiliated.
On Sunday, they exited heartbroken.
In a 12-9 loss to the Seahawks, the 49ers finally made some noise at CenturyLink Field, their house of horrors where they have now lost seven straight games and haven’t won since December 2010.
It was a loss, but it represented progress for a rebuilding team coming off a 20-point season-opening home loss that arrived as 14-point underdogs.
The 49ers, who had lost by an average of 18 points in their previous six losses in Seattle, led 9-6 on a 34-yard field goal by Robbie Gould with 11:40 remaining.
