Apparently whoever runs the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Twitter account hasn’t spent much time exploring the hall itself.
Moments after the New England Patriots won Super Bowl LI in an incredible comeback, the Hall of Fame tweeted that Pats owner Robert Kraft was the first owner to win five Super Bowls:
That honor, of course, belongs to former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, who got his fifth Super Bowl trophy more than 20 years ago. The Rooney family later followed and exceeded DeBartolo’s achievement, although different members of the family ran the team during different Super Bowl wins.
