The folks over at Pro Football Focus recently put together a listing of each team’s potential Pro Football Hall of Fame candidates currently on their respective rosters, and you probably won’t be too shocked at the candidates PFF’s Ben Linsey suggested for the San Francisco 49ers.
According to Linsey, the Niners boast two potential Hall of Famers, left tackle Joe Staley and cornerback Richard Sherman.
Staley, a six-time Pro Bowler, continues to play at a high level despite the fact he’ll turn 35 years old later this summer. Recently signed to a two-year extension during the offseason, Staley is almost assuredly going to retire with the team that drafted him back in the first round back in 2007.
