LANDOVER, Md. – Jullian Taylor called it the most fun he’s ever had in a football game. It’s also probably the first game anyone has noticed the 49ers defensive lineman in the No. 77 jersey.
Taylor, suiting up for the first time in four games, came through with two critical plays in the 49ers’ 9-0 shutout of Washington on Sunday.
“It was just a great opportunity and just an honor to play with these guys,” Taylor said. “I love this team. It’s a privilege to be with this team.”
With nose tackle D.J. Jones (hamstring) inactive and Solomon Thomas not producing, Taylor stepped into the fire and excelled with a fourth-down stop and later a fumble recovery.
