The San Francisco 49ers’ special teams battery of 2018 could look entirely different next year. Or it could look the exact same. We don’t know.
What we do know, however, is the trio of Week 1 starters — kicker Robbie Gould, punter Bradley Pinion and long-snapper Kyle Nelson — are all due to become unrestricted free agents when the league new year starts in 2019. Long-snapper Colin Holba, who took over as long-snapper when Nelson received a 10-game suspension for a PED violation, is an exclusive-rights free agent next year.
