Practices vs Super Bowl champs give 49ers chance to improve

DENVER – Before the 49ers’ second exhibition game of the summer, they have two pivotal practices against last season’s Super Bowl champions.

The 49ers left Tuesday for Colorado after an hour-long practice at Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers will practice Wednesday and Thursday against the Denver Broncos before lining up for Saturday night’s exhibition game.

Offensive line coach Pat Flaherty has been in charge of units that practiced against Super Bowl-winning defensive lines. Of course, his offensive line with the New York Giants was also championship-caliber. The Giants won Super Bowls following the 2007 and '11 seasons with Flaherty on Tom Coughlin's staff.
