SAN JOSE — The San Francisco 49ers got a loud boost from fans as boarded their plane to South Florida for Super Bowl LIV on Sunday morning.
The team was greeted by a little over a dozen fans at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport that cheered on from behind the chain-linked fence separating the fans from the tarmac.
Fans yelled out some of their favorite players’ names and some, such as head coach Kyle Shanahan, waved back. But most were all business as they boarded their plane to Miami.
The scene outside of the team’s facilities at Levi’s Stadium was more lively, as a few hundred fans cheered the team along Stars and Stripes Drive as the buses headed towards the airport.
