Sam Monson of PFF has released his latest two-round mock draft with a few surprises (depending on who you ask) as the Commanders select J.J. McCarthy second, Drake Maye goes to the Vikings after a trade-up with them double dipping at the quarterback position with Michael Penix Jr in the second round, and the 49ers using their first-round pick to select a cornerback.
According to Monson, the 49ers add another Iowa State product in T.J. Tampa, and here is his reasoning:
T.J. Tampa fits the prototype of a 49ers cornerback. He has had consecutive seasons of very impressive play and allowed just 240 yards on 49 targets last season.
