The San Francisco 49ers said good bye to defensive tackle Quinton Dial last week, deciding to release him and go younger behind Earl Mitchell. It did not take Dial long to land a new job. Per Matt Barrows, Dial’s agent said the defensive tackle has signed with the Green Bay Packers. He re-joins Ahmad Brooks, who signed with Green Bay after the 49ers released him.
Dial gives the Packers some valuable depth along the line. The Packers play a 3-4, and Dial brings versatility to spell anybody on the defensive front.
