One big free agent wide receiver options is off the table. The Green Bay Packers have signed Davante Adams to a contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Ian Rapoport followed up report it is a four year deal worth $58 million. He is getting $18 million up front and $32 million in the first two years, according to Rapoport.
The 49ers will likely be looking to add depth at wide receiver, but this likely would have been well out of what they would consider. Cap room is not an issue for the 49ers, but with other bigger holes, it would be surprising to see them go this high on a wide receiver.
