ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the San Francisco 49ers are hosting offensive tackle Sam Young on Tuesday. This news is expected, as Joe Staley will miss up to two months with a broken left fibula. On Monday, Kyle Shanahan said he expects rookie Justin Skule to start at left tackle against the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 3. Shanahan also mentioned how the team wants to get Daniel Brunskill some practice reps this week as well. I thought Brunskill outplayed Skule in the preseason comfortably, but the 49ers are going to roll with the 2019 sixth-round pick.
