We lost one of the greatest athletes of all time on Wednesday, as Willie Mays passed away at the age of 93. Mays has a resume that’ll make even the most recognizable Hall of Famers blush. The former Rookie of the Year wound up in the All-Star game 24 times, where he won two MVPs. He also won two MVPs for the regular season. Mays has a World Series ring and a batting title and hit 660 home runs while batting over .300.
His numbers do not look real. If there were ways to track what Mays did defensively during his playing days, he might be viewed objectively as the best to every play.
