Things have gone from bad to worse for the once-formidable San Francisco 49ers offense as do-it-all receiver Deebo Samuel will miss some time due to a calf injury, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Shanahan told reporters on Monday that Samuel is expected to miss “a couple weeks” of action as he picked up a calf strain during Sunday’s 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The injury apparently happened during the Niners’ final drive.
"He told me he thinks he did it when he caught — I think it was like, the third-to-last play," Shanahan said, per NBC Sports Bay Area.
