In his 15 carries in the preseason, 49ers running back Jarryd Hayne has runs of 53 and 34 yards. In the other 55 preseason carries by 49ers running backs, there has only been one rush of more than 20 yards (a 21-yarder by Reggie Bush).
In his lone kickoff return of the preseason, Hayne had a 33-yard return, the longest of any of the 49ers’ eight kick returns in the preseason.
And, finally, there is the matter of Hayne’s punt returns: He’s averaged 20.0 yards on six returns, while two other punt returns by 49ers have averaged 12.
