Hall of Famer and 49ers legend Jerry Rice believes that if San Francisco’s 28-18 loss to Kansas City had happened during his era with the team, his teammates would have probably turned on each other.
Like many Niners fans, Rice was frustrated with the outcome of Sunday’s highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch. The 62-year-old, who played 16 years in San Francisco from 1985 to 2000, expressed this during a scheduled radio appearance with 95.7 The Game’s “The Morning Roast.” Rice said that the Niners looked like they were meeting the Chiefs for the first time and that the team “knew the importance of that football game and we didn’t rise to the occasion.
