The old tweets of San Francisco 49ers rookie Nick Bosa have been a hot topic of conversation since the 49ers drafted Bosa with the second-overall pick in last month’s NFL Draft, but two of Bosa’s most prominent teammates do not believe his political views will be an issue going forward.
Cornerback Richard Sherman, who has been very outspoken on race and social issues in the past, said earlier this week that Bosa’s old tweets are irrelevant as long as he performs on the field, and is a good teammate off the field.
“One thing about football is that nobody really cares what you say if you can play,” Sherman told the Sacramento Bee Monday.
