The Philadelphia Eagles waived wide receiver Josh Huff on Friday, and it should surprise nobody that Huff went unclaimed on Friday, per the official NFL transaction report. The receiver was arrested earlier in the week for marijuana possession and possessing a gun without the proper permit.
Huff played under head coach Chip Kelly at Oregon, and in 2014, the then Kelly-coached Eagles selected Huff in the third round of the NFL Draft. Huff had eight receptions for 98 yards as a rookie, and then 27 receptions for 312 yards and three touchdowns in his second season. He returned 35 kicks over the course of his first two seasons.
