A few days back we brought up a Pro Football Focus list of candidates for offensive rookie of the year. San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was fifth on the list. Now we turn to the defensive side of the ball and PFF has their own list for defensive rookie of the year. The 49ers first pick of the 2019 NFL Draft and 2nd overall, Nick Bosa is No. 1 on the list. This should not be any surprise given that he was seen as the best overall player in the draft.
