The San Francisco 49ers cut Joe Looney on Friday, and now they might have another name in mind to help at center. Adam Caplan is reporting the 49ers are talking with the Baltimore Ravens about acquiring center Nick Easton. The 49ers current center depth chart consists of Marcus Martin and Dillon Farrell, with Ian Silberman as a potential emergency option. Daniel Kilgore will open the season on the PUP list.
Easton is an undrafted free agent out of Harvard, and apparently he impressed the 49ers scouts with his preseason play.
