Altering NFL power rankings after the draft can be a bit of a silly exercise. After all, none of the 254 selections and hundreds of undrafted free agents have yet to play a down at the pro level, and most will flame out before they even gain a foothold with their respective teams.
That said, the NFL Draft can have a profound effect on the balance of power and those NFL power rankings between all 32 teams across the league.
Case in point, the San Francisco 49ers managed to land arguably the best prospect from this year’s draft, Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa, after he fell past the top-selecting Arizona Cardinals, who changed out their starting quarterback heading into 2019 by going with Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray to kick things off in Round 1.
