Just before the start of NFL free agency, a legendary quarterback is walking away from the game.
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees announced his retirement after 15 seasons in the league.
Brees finishes his career with a 67.7 completion percentage for 80,358 yards, 571 touchdowns and 243 interceptions. He walks away as the all-time leader in passing yards and ranks second in touchdown passes behind only Tom Brady.
The highlight of Brees’ career came during the 2009 season when he led the Saints to a Super Bowl victory over the favored Indianapolis Colts.
