Jay Gruden became the first victim of the 2019 NFL hot seat earlier this week, as the Washington Redskins parted ways with him after a 0-5 start to the season, and Washington being viewed as arguably one of the worst two teams in the league this deep into the year.
There were arguments other head coaches were going to be on the NFL hot seat this season, too, including Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers.
After a 4-0 start, though, the Niners won’t come close to even thinking about such a decision.
