The San Francisco 49ers shocked no one by going defense in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. They did, however, shock just about everyone, myself included, by selecting a SAFETY, Jaquisky Tartt, instead of a player at a position where the 49ers could desperately use some help — such as cornerback. The Eagles, after all, traded up to the fifteenth pick to select a cornerback, and a big one at that, in Eric Rowe, the 6-1 cornerback out of Utah.
Tartt himself is a solid player, who played very well at a small school (Samford) and will likely be a very good safety for the 49ers down the road.
