San Francisco made a late switch to its throwback uniforms for Sunday’s game, deciding this week to swap out their classic combination (red jerseys and gold pants) to make sure they were wearing white pants.
But according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, the team wanted to switch their entire uniform set to an all-white look because of the heat, but the NFL denied the team’s request.
