It wasn’t long ago that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo‘s $137.5 million contract was the “biggest deal in NFL history.”
My, how quickly the times have changed.
On Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will sign a record-breaking deal totaling over $200 million after the conclusion of the following season:

Unfortunately for Mahomes, the star quarterback will have to wait until 2020 before he cashes in on his 2018 success.
