Unfortunately for the Niners faithful, it's all true: the rookie shot in a botched robbery before he played a single down; the receiver who finally resolved a snippy months-long contract negotiation only to sustain a season-ending knee injury in Week 7; the Offensive Player of the Year and defensive anchor whose Achilles have failed them; the pneumonia and the sore shoulder and the ailing wrist and hip and triceps.
