Sittercity.com, the online network child care service that connected former San Francisco 49er Dana Stubblefield to a prospective nanny whom he is charged with raping at his Morgan Hill home, spent Tuesday responding to the fallout from the allegation and insisting that "safety is paramount."
In a statement, the Chicago-based firm that has linked millions of families with baby sitters and nannies since 2001, said that after learning of the charges against Stubblefield, it "immediately reached out to the Morgan Hill police department to offer assistance with this matter.''The company's Senior Vice President Jeremy Gottschalk said the Sittercity website provides a "Trust & Safety Center'' on its home page that contains tips and resources for parents and caregivers as they consider working together.
