With a starting job open at outside linebacker, many eyes have turned to second-year linebacker Aaron Lynch as a top candidate to help fill that role in the San Francisco 49ers pass-rush attack.
Lynch shined as a rookie in 2014, tallying 23 tackles, six sacks, four pass deflections and one blocked punt.
When asked on Wednesday about his expectation for his sophomore campaign, the 22-year-old stressed the importance of the team over the individual. Lynch acknowledged the San Francisco’s remaining depth at outside linebacker with Ahmad Brooks, Corey Lemonier and Eli Harold among the talented group still competing for playing time.
