As they've done for the past few years, off-duty Milpitas Police Department officers will continue to work as extra security at San Francisco 49ers' games and other special events at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
Milpitas City Council voted unanimously on consent June 7 to approve and extend an existing agreement which sees Milpitas police work as reserve officers at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Police officers here typically see an annual base salary of roughly $100,000.
The council's vote will see the contract, which was set to expire on June 30, 2016, extended another three years through June 30, 2019.
