The ex-Broncos coach, and one-time 49ers OC is back on the radar.
The San Francisco 49ers coaching search process is picking up steam. Two days after firing head coach Jim Tomsula, it appears the 49ers have their first interview scheduled. ESPN's Dianna Marie Russini is reporting the team will interview Mike Shanahan on Wednesday. This follows reports they are scheduling an interview with Buffalo Bills assistant head coach and running backs coach Anthony Lynn, and have requested permission from the Cincinnati Bengals to interview offensive coordinator Hue Jackson next week.
Shanahan last coached in 2013, finishing up a stint with Washington that started in 2010.
