The San Francisco 49ers rode 572 all-purpose yards of offense to completely dominate the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2, coming away with a lopsided 41-17 victory and a 2-0 start to 2019.
One of the prime reasons was running back Matt Breida, who knew he had to be the No. 1 ball carrier on the ground with fellow runner Tevin Coleman (ankle) shelved for at least a few weeks.
Breida didn’t disappoint, either.
A week after managing just 37 yards on the ground against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Breida ended up being San Francisco’s primary offensive weapon in Cincinnati, leading all Niners rushers with 121 yards on 12 carries.
