Fooch’s update: According to the 49ers press release, the Bill Walsh Award is no longer given to the “team MVP,” but instead, the player, “who has best represented the standard of professional excellence established by Walsh.”
The San Francisco 49ers are headed home for the offseason, but first, there are team awards to distribute. The players voted Marquise Goodwin the Len Eshmont Award winner, for his inspirational and courageous play. The team MVP, also known as the Bill Walsh Award went to fullback Kyle Juszczyk. The coaching staff votes on that award.
