Former 49ers offensive line veteran Len Rohde has died at the age of 79.
A Pro Bowler in 1971, the offensive tackle played 15 seasons for San Francisco — which announced his death Monday — and appeared in the most 49ers games of any offensive linemen (208, with 173 starts).
“My condolences go out to the Rohde family,” 49ers owner Jed York wrote on Twitter. “Len was everything the 49ers stand for on and off the field. He will be missed.”
Rohde played in every game from his rookie campaign in 1960 until he retired after the 1974 season, making him tied for the third-most tenured 49ers player in franchise history.
