The 2016 NFL Combine kicks off on Tuesday, and the sort of "made-for-TV" moments come courtesy of the 40-yard dash. Although running in shorts does really measure football specific skills, it gets plenty of publicity.
One player who is choosing to skip the 40 at the Combine is Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. Back in January, Matt Miller mentioned there was some concern he would run in the high 4.6s or low 4.7s, and that might hurt his draft stock. I know some folks here are not as high on him as others, but it will be interesting to see how skipping the 40 reflects in various mock drafts.
