A rapidly strengthening storm is hitting the Bay Area this week, bringing with it high winds and heavy rains. It's a cause for concern for the whole region, to the point that it even came up as a topic in San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's press conference on Wednesday.
Specifically, the coach was asked whether there were any contingency plans for the team practicing somewhere other than its facilities in Santa Clara. Shanahan said there aren't but took a rather optimistic approach to the whole thing.
“There's no lightning and stuff, so as long as you don't mind getting wet, it's a distraction test,” he said.
