Kyle Shanahan still not saying much on late pass interference call

SANTA CLARA — Coach Kyle Shanahan once again Friday didn’t wade too deep into the offensive pass interference penalty on Trent Taylor that the cost the 49ers a first down late in their game against the Los Angeles Rams.

With 1:54 left in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s game and the 49ers facing 3rd and 10 at midfield, quarterback Brian Hoyer found Taylor open on the sideline for an 11-yard gain. The side judge determined that Taylor pushed off on Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman with his right arm at the Los Angeles’ 41-yard-line just as he was making his break toward the sideline.
