Dominick Puni wasn’t the only San Francisco 49ers rookie that caught Kyle Shanahan’s eye on Saturday. Safety Malik Mustapha’s effort and energy were fully displayed against the Tennessee Titans.
There were three standout plays from Mustapha. Here’s what Shanahan saw from the rookie out of Wake Forest:
“I loved how he played. You could see how he did it on special teams. He had no hesitation. He’s a hitter, but sometimes guys get in that first game, and they slow down a little bit, and he was the opposite. He showed up on special teams.
