SAN FRANCISCO — The term “rebuilding” seems to be verboten around the building now known as Oracle Park, but make no mistake, that’s what the San Francisco Giants, winners of three titles this decade, are doing after 187 losses in the last two years.
That, of course, means that the 2019 version of the Giants, barring a minor miracle, is likely going to push the team’s three-year running loss total well above 270.
Yes, this is likely to be another lost season, but unlike the last two campaigns, this one will not be lost in vain.
