Forty Niners general manager John Lynch admitted Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine that the team is waiting to see how Reuben Foster’s domestic violence case develops before they make a decision on disciplining the linebacker.
And that’s interesting, because last April, the 49ers saw no need to wait and see when starting cornerback Tremaine Brock was arrested for domestic violence.
Brock was accused of punching a woman in the face and trying to strangle her — serious allegations, no doubt, and the new 49ers’ brass — Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan, who were hired only a few months before the incident — decided to take swift action, cutting Brock one day after he was arrested.
