We followed cornerback Kenneth Acker in practice on Tuesday. The first installment set up Acker’s routine before practice, while this one covers what the sixth-round rookie did last season.
Once on the field, Acker played right corner, mainly with the third-team defense. He gave up only one completion and that was to free-agent rookie receiver Dres Anderson on about a 30-yard completion. But that was all he surrendered.
Acker was taken deep on a number of plays and he stayed close to his receiver on every one of them.
Playing mainly in a zone defense on Tuesday, Acker also showed the ability to burst and close fast.
