An old friend is getting another chance. Former San Francisco 49ers running back Kendall Hunter is signing with the New Orleans Saints, according to Ian Rapoport. The Saints have dealt with numerous injuries at the position, losing Mark Ingram for the season, followed by a season-ending injury to Marcus Murphy.
Tim Hightower is the Saints starting running back now that Ingram is done. C.J. Spiller got some snaps as well, but Hightower got 28 carries last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I can't imagine Kendall Hunter getting a ton of work this coming Monday against the Detroit Lions, but it would not surprise me to see him get a little something.
