Kaepernick may get a White House invite, but is that a good thing?

Colin Kaepernick has played enough football to recognize the trap play.

He likely recognized the come-on from Cleveland-based pastor and outside adviser to the White House Darrell Scott as an inelegant example of the genre.

According to multiple media outlets, Scott on Friday expressed an interest in having Kaepernick, the former 49ers quarterback, attend a summer summit at the White House to discuss race. Scott anticipates that President Donald Trump would attend.

“He is 100 percent for it,” Scott said. “He was very enthusiastic about it.”

Raise your hand if you remember the day the president was very enthusiastic about banning bump stocks.
