San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid is one of the top players at his position, so there’s a lot for Justin Reid, his brother, to live up to. Justin announced on Tuesday that he is foregoing his senior year of eligibility at Stanford to declare for the 2018 NFL Draft.
“I know that I’m mentally, physically, and emotionally prepared to become a professional athlete,” Reid said on Twitter. “My education is very important to me, and I do fully intend on returning to finish my degree.”
Reid also released a lengthy statement about his time with the Stanford Cardinal, saying the school “far exceeded anything I could ever hope for in a school.
