The Julio Jones saga has officially ended as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Tennessee Titans are trading for the former Atlanta Falcons superstar wide receiver.
The trade compensation hasn’t been finalized yet. Schefter said it could be “second and a fifth-round pick, or a second-round pick with a swap of other picks,” but it doesn’t sound like Atlanta is getting a first-rounder or sniffing anything close to that.
I wonder how serious the San Francisco 49ers were and if they made a legitimate offer for Jones. It’s safe to assume the front office picked up the phone, but if they did make an offer, it wasn’t a strong one as a second and Day 3 pick for Julio isn’t much at all.
