Defensive end Jordan Willis is being suspended without pay for the first six games of the 2021 season for violating the NFL Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances, the 49ers announced in a press release on Thursday afternoon.
Willis will be able to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games, however, and will be eligible to return to the 49ers active roster on Monday, Oct. 25 following the team’s Week 7 game vs. Indianapolis.
Willis was formerly a third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2017 out of Kansas State. After two seasons in Cincinnati, he was released in September 2019 and claimed by the Jets shortly after.
