No, John Lynch’s first move as 49ers general manager wasn’t to bring in former Bucs fullback Mike Alstott, as Lynch’s Wikipedia page read briefly Sunday.
Lynch hired his top target, Broncos scout Adam Peters, to be 49ers vice president of player personnel, CSN Bay Area reported Tuesday morning.
Peters spent the last eight years with the Broncos, most recently as their director of college scouting, after six seasons as a scout for the Patriots. He switched from New England to Denver when the latter hired Josh McDaniels as head coach in 2009.
Peters is a Cupertino native who attended Monta Vista High.
