The first nine questions to San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan were Brandon Aiyuk-related. That’s to be expected, as news came out Tuesday morning that Aiyuk planned to report to training camp.
Shanahan acknowledged his personal relationship with Aiyuk—something he has with every player on the roster—and beleives the two are close. But that doesn’t mean it’ll be the reason Aiyuk signs a contract. Shanahan said, “I’ve got a lot of love for B.A. I think I’m close with him. Hopefully, that can help, but only can help so much.
