The San Francisco 49ers hit free agency next week with a whole lot of money, and it is safe to say they will be investing in players. General manager John Lynch told Bay Area media on Thursday that 49ers fans need to stay awake next week during free agency because, “We need players.”
The 49ers were quiet last year in free agency, with offensive guard Zane Beadles highlighting an underwhelming effort. The team struggled all season long, and while Beadles was a useful contributor on a bad team, it was a disappointment, overall.
